Important Message From Our Kid Ministry Team

Calling all possible helpers to the Wheatland Mission’s kids’ area

Greetings! Thanks to all of you who have already volunteered to help in our kids’ area.

Things are off to a great start in the children’s department, especially in the infant through pre-school area. Our room is growing!! We now have the possibility of at least 20 youngsters in our class each week. God has truly blessed us with children! As a result of our growing numbers, the need has arisen for more adult help. In order for our kids to be safe, comfortable, and learn the most, we need a few more grown-ups to join the fun!

So…..We are hoping for some extra help from any adult to take a turn as a Preschool Assistant, Pre-School Teacher or an elementary Small Group Facilitator. What will this involve? In the pre-school area, a Pre-School Assistant will come in one Saturday a month to be an extra pair of hands. No preparation necessary, just playing and having fun learning about God! A Pre-school teacher will hopefully commit to a one month time period. Teachers will have an already prepared lesson and activities. An elementary Small Group Facilitator comes once a month from 6:00-6:30 to help lead a K-5 small group. No preparation is needed and you will be e-mailed the lesson in advance.

The last opportunity we have in the Children’s area is for help to clean up the baby-5 room after the children have dismissed. This can also be a once a month commitment.

We don’t expect anyone to work in all areas so just pick the one that fits you best. A volunteer can be any adult who likes to work with children. As the saying goes “it takes a village” and we really believe it. We would be happy to e-mail you a schedule or lesson so that you know what to expect. This is a great opportunity to see what is going on with our children and the children will love it!

If you can help us, please let us know the following 2 things.
1. The area in which you want to help (pre-school assistant or teacher, elementary facilitator, clean-up).
2. The Saturday of each month(1st-4th) /or entire month that works best for you.
