In The Journey With Jesus

"I shall not find Christ at the end of the journey unless he accompanies me along the way." - Esther De Waal

We spent some time tonight in our house church talking about how we discern God's will. Ephesians 5:17 says that we are to "know what the will of the Lord is." This implies that we can actually know God's will for our lives. We discussed, however, that the journey of seeking God's will may be as important as the discovery.

The quote above is from Esther De Waal in her book "The Celtic Way of Prayer". (I haven't read it but found this quote in another book I am reading called "The Way of Jesus".)

Yeah, I'd agree with the comment of seeking God's will may be as important as the discovery, but add that the only way of knowing what God's will is to seek Him. I believe that He ultimately desires for us to know Him personally and for us to know His will is secondary to that, but it is a part of the package we get in knowing Him more.
Side note - we'd appreciate prayers for the kiddos who've been battling some nasty respiratory thing plus fever for 4 days now. May see the doctor this afternoon. Little one may not be able to nap today with this crud again so that would for sure determine a visit to the doctor. In addition, older one's diabetes is affected and we're riding the blood sugar roller coaster. Thanks for the prayers. Healing's desired!
God is good, all the time!
Tangent comment - hmm, what color do you call this vibrant webpage?!=)
Also, I noted with previewing this that they have it as 11:36 a.m. when it's really 1:33 p.m....what's up with that? =)

Good point Marci - your family is in our prayers! Not going to address the color thing but as for the time, I noticed that myself and figured that this blog mother ship must be located on the West coast somewhere, I dunno just a wild guess!
